Joins Holding Company Governing Body
Chicago, IL - Towers Holdings, Inc., the Chicago-based media group, announced today that it has named Peter S. Walker to its Board of Directors. Mr. Walker is managing principal of Auvergne Holdings, LLC and a specialist advisor to the private equity sector for the media and service industries.
Previously, Mr. Walker was senior vice president of Tribune Broadcasting, a subsidiary of Chicago-based Tribune Company (TRB). In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he led the fifteen president/general managers of the Eastern, Midwestern and Southern regions of the company’s station group, as well as Superstation WGN. Prior to that position, Mr. Walker was group vice-president of Tribune Television, overseeing nine stations.
He also served as vice-president/general manager of WGN television, where he was responsible for all aspects of the station’s local broadcast operations as well as its national cable “superstation” service. Mr. Walker holds a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
